10 Used Cars That Lost Most Value (year-on-year) in August 2022

Every month, some cars gain the most value year-on-year basis, and some lose the most.

Auto Trader's new retail price index has revealed the used cars that gained the most and lost the highest value over the past year. In this post, we will mention those that have lost the most value in August 2022 on a year-on-year basis.

Even when used car prices were increasing last year, some vehicles witnessed a sales decline.

Among the cars that depreciated acceptably are the Audi SQ5 and the Mazda CX-30. Both of these went down by under five per cent of their price on a year-on-year basis.

A step up the index is the Land Rover Discovery 4, which lost 5.1 per cent of its value, while the Mercedes SLC’s price dipped by 5.3 per cent.

Other cars on the list include the Mercedes SLC, the DS7 Crossback, the Mazda MX-5 RF, the BMW 8-Series, and the Land Rover Discovery 3.

The two cars that dropped the most worth are Mini Roadster – which fell by 10.5 per cent, and the Jaguar XK – which devalued by 12 per cent.
