The pioneering electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla recently disclosed its strategic plan to hasten the advancement of sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation. Notably, senior executives reiterated their unwavering commitment to the much-debated Cybertruck, stating that the vehicle would indeed commence production within the year. Furthermore, the company highlighted that it would leverage the knowledge acquired during Cybertruck's creation to enhance the development of its forthcoming "next-generation" model. Tesla's innovative and unconventional production techniques, which shun the conventional assembly line in favour of a modular and parallel process, enable the company to achieve exceptional cost savings of up to 50% while simultaneously reducing the facility's footprint by a staggering 40%.

Eliminating the Use of Precious Metals

The mastermind behind Tesla's groundbreaking designs, Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, tantalized investors with the promise of a glimpse into the company's next-generation vehicle. Alas, von Holzhausen ultimately reneged on this pledge, stating that such a reveal would have to wait for another day. Nevertheless, Tesla's Powertrain Chief, Colin Campbell, did offer some exciting insights into the company's future plans. Campbell divulged that Tesla is earnestly striving to eliminate precious metals entirely from the motors of their upcoming next-gen automobile. 

Campbell revealed that as we advance, all Tesla models - including the Cybertruck - would rely on a cutting-edge 48-volt electronics architecture. Furthermore, Campbell offered a bold prediction about the forthcoming iteration of Tesla's drive unit, which he estimated would contain a staggering 75% less silicon carbide than its predecessors.

Astoundingly, this engineering feat would reportedly reduce the all-in cost of the unit to an astonishing $1,000 (£831). Campbell confidently declared that no other automotive manufacturer on the planet could even come close to this level of technological prowess. Meanwhile, Tesla remains steadfast in its quest to produce the forthcoming vehicle at half the cost of their current flagship Model 3.

Update To Charging Infrastructure

Tesla's Charging Infrastructure Chief, Rebecca Tinucci, announced that over 50% of Tesla's Superchargers throughout Europe are now accessible to non-Tesla models, a move that represents a significant shift in the company's charging infrastructure policy. Tinucci also provided compelling details about a new generation of chargers currently in the pipeline, which boasts a longer cable specifically designed to simplify the process of connecting non-Tesla models to the system. But that wasn't all; Tinucci also teased attendees with a hint about a Supercharger charging "location" that features a diner-style restaurant, which promises to provide customers with an unforgettable charging experience.

One vehicle appeared to be a boxy MPV with a unique and enigmatic design.
