
April Witnessed a Decline of over 10 per cent in Used Car Sales among the Leading 200 UK Dealerships.
According to recently released data, the sales of pre-owned vehicles experienced a decline in April among the leading 200 car dealerships in the United Kingdom.
According to statistics provided by CarCondor, the number of pre-owned vehicle transactions experienced a significant decrease of 10.54 per cent last month, reaching a total of 159,478 units sold.
There was also a decline in revenue for the Top 200 dealers, as their earnings from used car sales dropped by over ten per cent. In March, they managed to generate £3.81 billion, while in the recent period, their revenue decreased to £3.39 billion.
The latest stock experienced a significant decline, witnessing a drop of nearly 19% compared to the previous month. The figures went down from 198,035 to 160,814.
April's statistics showed a reversal from the positive trend observed in March, where sales had increased by 6.8%, and revenues had risen by over ten percent.
Arnold Clark held the top spot among dealers in the list of 200, boasting an inventory of 25,844 pre-owned vehicles, showing an increase compared to the previous month's 24,690.

Marshall retained its position in second place, offering 9,071 cars, while Evans Halshaw maintained its presence in the list, securing the third and second positions with 8,573 and 7,916 used cars in stock, respectively.
In terms of digital innovators, Cinch rose to the ninth position with a stock of 4,620 cars, while Cazoo maintained its position at 11th place with 4,529 cars available.
Among the Top 200 dealers, the Mazda CX-5 retained its position as the most rapidly sold pre-owned vehicle of the month, while the Ford Fiesta continued to hold the title of the best-selling car.
