Aston Martin Plans To Introduce Eight New Front-Engined Sports Cars In the Next 2 Years

Aston Martin has exciting plans ahead as they prepare to introduce a series of eight new front-engined sports cars within the next couple of years. The journey commences with the successor to the DB11, anticipated to bear the name Aston Martin DB12.
This commencement will mark the initiation of a comprehensive model expansion strategy that has been meticulously crafted over the course of three years. Lawrence Stroll, the company's chairman, disclosed these plans while giving an interview at the Financial Times Future of the Car Summit.
He expressed his satisfaction: "It might seem mundane and uneventful, but we have dedicated three years to develop our next generation of sports cars, and within the next 24 months, we will introduce a total of eight models." Stroll further highlighted the incorporation of cutting-edge technology, the integration of performance insights from their F1 team, and the continued commitment to deliver the exceptional luxury associated with their vehicles.

The upcoming Aston Martin car lineup will feature replacements for the current Aston Martin DB11, Aston Martin Vantage, and Aston Martin DBS models. Within this lineup, these three models will have various versions, totaling eight distinct offerings.
Stroll indicated that the new range would introduce a novel model positioned "beyond GT" that stands out in the market. He expressed, "We have established a new segment surpassing GT—a realm of true luxury combined with exceptional performance. It's something entirely innovative."
Stroll assured that the cars would incorporate significantly enhanced technology. However, Aston Martin's approach is to introduce technology in alignment with customer preferences, avoiding the mere introduction of technology for technology's sake.
Aston Martin is making progress towards introducing its first electric vehicle in 2025, and Stroll announced that additional information would be disclosed during the Capital Markets event scheduled for 27 June. "We have already determined the software components, primarily relying on our own capabilities. We have expanded our workforce significantly and acquired extensive expertise internally. Nevertheless, we aim to ensure that the EV maintains the distinctive Aston Martin experience."

The company has plans to expand its range of mid-engined vehicles following the introduction of the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The next addition will be the Valhalla, a hybrid model. Production of the Valhalla and its variations will be limited to a maximum of 999 units. Aston Martin's F1 team, located in Silverstone, is utilizing its expertise and wind tunnel resources to develop this model. Lawrence Stroll stated that this mid-engined sports car would genuinely incorporate F1 technology.
According to Stroll, Aston Martin has successfully resolved Valkyrie's software and manufacturing challenges. Over 100 units of the car have already been delivered. Stroll also hinted that Aston Martin might consider launching a future vehicle with a price tag similar to the Valkyrie's £3 million. It aligns with the company's strategy of periodically introducing exclusive limited-edition models, typically once or twice a year.
