Hilton Car Supermarket Celebrates Nomination For Two Honours At Used Car Awards 2024
The final nominations for the Used Car Awards 2024 are revealed and we are happy to announce that we are shortlisted for two prestigious awards.
Black Horse is sponsoring this year’s event, and we’ve been recognised in the categories of Diversity and Inclusivity, as well as the Best Used Car Supermarket.
The big night is happening on November 25 at The Brewery in London. It’s going to be an evening full of glitz and celebration. Mike Brewer, the host for the night, will announce the winners for each category. There’s going to be a winner, of course, but also two highly commended companies who’ll be in the spotlight as well.
Mike Brewer, who’s also one of the judges, mentioned that the mystery shopping phase was quite intense. “Mystery shopping’s always where the real contenders stand out,” he said. “It still blows my mind how exceptional some of these dealerships are.
Some really offered service that was beyond what we expected, just superb. Then, sadly, there were those who didn’t even bother responding to our inquiries. Big missed opportunity for them.”
He went on to congratulate the shortlisted companies and said he’s looking forward to handing out the awards.
The Criteria
As for the selection process, the judging panel—which included Brewer—had to sift through tons of nominations. They looked at all sorts of online reviews, from places like Auto Trader to Google, making sure to pay attention to what customers had to say.
The number of reviews, the star ratings, even the size of the business, how long they’ve been around, and what kind of stock they keep—it all played a part in deciding who made the cut.
They didn’t just stop at the reviews either. Every nominee had to submit entries for the categories they were aiming for, and after that, the businesses got mystery-shopped by experts. It wasn’t until October 21 that the shortlist came out.
