Lexus Introduces New LM Luxury MPV Starting at £89,995
The luxurious Lexus family vehicle boasts a hybrid engine and abundant features.

Lexus introduces the latest LM, a vehicle hailed as a 'luxury mover,' blending the functionality of an MPV with ambitions to rival the Mercedes V-Class, Volkswagen Multivan, and premium seven-seat SUVs. You can place your order for three distinct trim options starting at £89,995, and deliveries are slated to commence in November.
The chosen LM will incorporate a petrol-electric hybrid setup, utilising the GA-K platform, shared with Lexus NX and RX SUVs, featuring a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with a CVT automatic gearbox and an electric motor for brief electric-only travel.
The LM 350h boasts 246 brake horsepower and 239Nm peak torque, featuring the E-Four electronic all-wheel drive that can distribute up to 80% of tq to the back axle or up to 100% to the front. Although the 0-62mph time remains undisclosed, the top speed is limited to 119mph.
The LM aims to prioritise passenger comfort and well-being, exemplified by its cabin embodying the renowned Japanese 'Omotenashi' hospitality at an extraordinary calibre. Boasting a 3,000mm wheelbase, the car maximises rear legroom, providing an opulent limousine experience of extravagance and expansiveness.
The LM will be made available in two variations - a luxurious four-seat arrangement and a conventional seven-seat configuration. The four-seat version boasts two individual armchairs at the back, separated from the front by a partition which, together with advanced noise-cancellation technology, greatly enhances the overall comfort. Moreover, within the partition, a 48-inch HD screen is integrated.

The base seven-seat LM 350h kicks off at £89,995 for front-wheel drive or £92,995 for all-wheel drive and encompasses 19-inch alloy wheels, front and middle-row powered seats, twin sunroofs, dual-zone climate controls, and powered sunshades. You can add the latest Link Pro system, uprated speakers, and a 14-inch rear passenger monitor by opting for an infotainment package.
A level up is the LM 350h Takumi starting at £112,995, with emphasis on enhancing rear passenger comfort through two spacious rear seats and an array of advanced technological enhancements. You'll notably find an expansive 48-inch widescreen monitor and a discreet glass panel that can be easily dimmed for added privacy. Complementing this setup, there are individual glove boxes and a convenient fridge situated beneath the screen.
The back seats are equipped with folding tables, along with multiple charging ports and a wireless charging tray. Additionally, the Takumi model features a custom-designed Mark Levinson 3D Surround Sound audio system boasting 23 speakers, and the 'Lexus Climate Concierge' utilises thermal sensors to provide enhanced heating and ventilation management.

Lexus's engineering team invested considerable effort in refining the car's driving systems to offset the LM's dimensions and mass, incorporating features like Automatic Smart Stop braking control, Pitch Control, and an updated Adaptive Variable Suspension system to achieve a harmonious blend of dynamic performance and comfort, resulting in a length of 5,130mm.
Lexus has recently introduced a unique feature called the Rear Seat Comfort driving mode. It is designed to optimise suspension performance, drive torque distribution, and reduce vibrations, ensuring a comfortable posture for passengers during travel.
The Lexus’s Safety System+, already accessible on the NX and RX, provides various driving assistance features, and safety systems are also part of the package.
