Munich Motor Show 2025: Cool Cars to Check Out

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is done, and Monterey Car Week just ended. Now, it’s time for the 2025 Munich Motor Show, also called IAA Mobility 2025. This show’s a big deal because tons of awesome new cars will be revealed. It runs from September 9 to 14. Here’s a peek at the exciting stuff you’ll see!

Audi

Audi might bring back the TT as an electric car! Auto Express spilled the beans earlier this year. The new design boss, Massimo Frascella, is showing off a concept car. It could be our first look at the reborn TT, using tech from the next Porsche Cayman.

BMW iX3

BMW’s dropping a game-changer with the new iX3. It’s kicking off a fresh design and tech era for them. The look will borrow from last year’s bold Vision Neue Klasse X concept. Inside, there’s a fancy new “Panoramic iDrive” setup. The real wow factor? An 800V system for super-fast charging and a way longer range than the current iX3’s 285 miles.

Cupra

Raval

Cupra’s sporty electric Raval is finally here! We saw a glimpse back at the 2021 Munich show. This time, the real deal shows up, but it’ll have some camouflage to keep us curious. Unlike the rear-wheel-drive Born, the Raval’s front-wheel-drive and uses VW’s MEB Entry platform. A zippy Raval VZ might come later.

Tindaya Concept

Cupra’s Tindaya concept is all about their future style. They say “no drivers, no Cupra,” which probably means a focus on fun driving, even in electric cars. The interior will likely steal the show. It might hint at a future flagship SUV, but we’ll see!

Hyundai Ioniq 2

Hyundai’s killing it with their Ioniq electric cars like the 5, 6, and 9. Now, a smaller Ioniq 2 is coming. It’s similar to the Kia EV2 and uses the same E-GMP platform as the Kia EV3. Expect this Bayon-sized EV to cost around £25,000 and compete with the Renault 4 next year.

Leapmotor B05 Hatchback

Leapmotor’s growing fast in the UK. Their new B05 hatchback joins the T03, C10, and B10. It’ll likely start at £30,000 with a 400-mile range, thanks to the Leap 3.5 platform and a super aerodynamic design.

Mercedes

AMG GT Track Sport

Mercedes teased a cloaked sports car called the AMG GT Track Sport. It’s built for smashing lap times, not just street cruising. It hints at a V8-powered expansion of the GT series, maybe a follow-up to the AMG GT Black Series.

AMG GT XX

The AMG GT XX is a wild electric concept. It’s not about range—it’s about raw power from four electric motors made by Yasa, a British company. This one’s looking to the future of Mercedes-AMG’s electric tech.

GLC EV

The old Mercedes EQC wasn’t a hit, so they’re trying again with the GLC EV. It’ll sit next to the gas-powered GLC and use a new EV-only platform. Expect a flashy three-panel light-up grille and a glowing star badge. It’ll take on BMW’s iX3 with a bold new look.

Polestar 5

Polestar showed off the Precept concept in 2020, and now the Polestar 5 is ready to shine. It’s a sleek, low GT that’ll rival the Porsche Taycan and Lotus Emeya. Munich’s where we’ll get all the final details before its big launch.

Porsche Cayenne Electric

Porsche’s Cayenne is getting an electric version! It’ll use the PPE platform from the Macan Electric, with a 100kWh battery, dual motors, and active suspension from the Panamera. Petrol and hybrid Cayennes will stick around for now.

Renault Clio

The sixth-gen Renault Clio is here! Europe’s second-favorite car keeps its five-door style but gets a fierce new front end. It’s got a modern, clean vibe, not retro like the Renault 5. It’ll stick with petrol and hybrid power, leaving electric to the R5.

Skoda Vision O Concept

Skoda’s Vision O concept is a sneak peek at an electric Octavia, due in 2027. It’ll use VW’s new Scalable Systems Platform (SSP), replacing the MEB platform in cars like the Enyaq and Elroq. Details are still hush-hush.

Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo

Vauxhall’s Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo looks like it’s from the year 3000! This wild concept previews the next-gen Corsa supermini, set for 2027, and its hot GSE version.

Volkswagen

ID.2

VW’s ID.2 might debut at Munich. This Polo-sized EV sits below the ID.3 and uses the MEB Entry platform. It’ll look like the 2023 ID.2all concept and start at about £23,000, ready to battle the Renault 5.

ID.2 X

VW confirmed the ID.2 X, a small electric SUV, for Munich. It’s the eco-friendly version of the T-Cross and another Renault 4 rival.

T-Roc

The new T-Roc SUV is here with a bold look like the Tiguan, Tayron, and Passat. Inside, it’s got two big screens and actual buttons! It uses the MQB evo platform from the Golf Mk8.5 and debuts a full-hybrid setup with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and electric motor for zero-emission city driving. It hits showrooms in summer 2026.
