SUVs Rule the Top 10 Quickest-Selling Used Cars in April
Information disclosed solely to Car Dealer Magazine by eBay Motors Group indicates that high-riders secured eight of the top 10 positions, with the model classification being swiftly purchased from dealership lots last month. Merely the Mazda 3 hatchback and Isuzu D-Max were not sports utility vehicles on the list.
The Hyundai Tucson stood out as the automobile that was sold the most quickly in April, requiring an average of 22.8 days to be sold.
Lucy Tugby, the marketing manager of eBay Automotive Association, informed Car Dealer, "Pre-owned sport-utility vehicles remained in the ideal range on Motors.co.uk throughout April, comprising eight of the top ten swiftest vendors, and the Hyundai Tucson averaged a bit more than three weeks on car lots. The announcement arrives a week following used automobile assessment specialists Cap HPI informed Car Dealer that valuations decreased by one per cent throughout April.
Electric cars proved to be the poorest performers, as values plummeted by 4.7 per cent, while petrol automobiles saw a decline of 0.8 per cent, and diesel vehicles receded by 0.9 per cent.
Derren Martin, the director of Cap HPI, expounded that April typically experiences a considerable influx of supply from part exchanges in March, which causes used car values to decline.
He stated: ‘Typically, the mean in April experiences a decline of 1.4 or 1.6 per cent, approximately, and our outcome is above this average. ‘Those who posit that this marks the commencement of a significant decrease, I would urge them to reconsider as it is most assuredly not a feasible occurrence.’
