The Mid-cycle Update of 2023 Audi Q8 Brings Enhancements Inside Out
Audi introduced the Q8 in 2019, a sportier coupe-SUV compared to the Q7, to lead its SUV range. For 2023, Audi refreshed the Q8, enhancing its exterior and interior while keeping V6 and V8 engine options. This five-seat coupe-SUV competes with the updated BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe.

Exterior
The 2023 Audi Q8 gets a refreshed look with a new grille, LED headlights, and various trim options. Wheel sizes range from 20 to 23 inches, and the rear lights and trim pieces are updated for different variants. The high-performance SQ8 model features changes like a reformed spoiler, a restructured diffuser, and honeycomb inserts in the front air intakes. The top-tier RS Q8 will be revealed later.
Interior
The Q8 includes enhanced technology, including an expanded MMI infotainment system with third-party apps, upgraded driver assistance features, and a standard rearview camera, park assist, high beam assist, and keyless entry to outshine its competitors.
Powertrains
In its recent update, Audi again ditched the plug-in hybrid Q8, maintaining a diverse UK lineup of two diesel 3.0-litre V6s, a petrol 3.0-litre V6, and a petrol V8. All V6 powerplants feature an 8-speed automatic gearbox, permanent four-wheel drive, and a 48v mild-hybrid tech using a belt-propelled starter motor. The base 45 TDI creates 228bhp and 500Nm torque, achieving 0-62mph in 7.1 seconds and a 140mph max velocity. The 50 TDI offers 282bhp, 600Nm torque, and a 0-62mph time of 6.1 seconds. The 55 TFSI with its petrol V6 reaches 335bhp, 500Nm torque, and 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds, while the sporty SQ8 houses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 with 500bhp, 770Nm torque, and a 4.1-second 0-62mph time. The V8 model includes cylinder deactivation, yielding a fuel rating of 22.7mpg.
Price
Pricing details for the refreshed Q8 are still under wraps, but an increase over the previous model is anticipated. The base version will likely start at approximately £80,000, while the SQ8 could surpass the £100,000 mark.
