Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 Pricing Puts Land Rover Defender in the Shade
The upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser hits the market in July, with deliveries to customers beginning in September...
Pricing for the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser has been revealed, clarifying any doubts about its move upmarket. The base ‘Invincible’ model starts at £74,995, while the retro-styled ‘First Edition’ is priced at £79,995.
For comparison, the Land Rover Defender 110, a direct competitor, starts at £63,670. Even with seven seats like the Toyota, the Defender 110 is available for under £68,000.
But that's not all; besides the seven-seater layout, every Land Cruiser includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, head-up display, 14-speaker JBL audio system, black leather seats, a surround-view camera system, a sunroof, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the 'Multi Terrain Select' system is standard, which automatically adapts the vehicle's settings for various terrains.
The limited-run Land Cruiser First Edition has a distinct design inspired by the 1960s Land Cruiser 40, featuring round headlights and a two-tone paint scheme with Smoky Blue or Light Sand contrasted by a light grey roof. It also includes exclusive badging, 18-inch wheels, and unique interior details.
Next year, a 48-volt mild-hybrid engine will be added to the range, but currently, every Toyota Land Cruiser is equipped with a turbocharged 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 200bhp and 500Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. Performance and fuel economy figures are yet to be confirmed.
The newest model of Toyota Land Cruiser will be available for purchase in July, with deliveries to customers beginning in September. Toyota advises prospective buyers to place their orders promptly due to limited availability and strong demand, as the initial stock in the UK might be quickly sold out once orders commence.
If you fail to order the new Land Cruiser on time, we have plenty of other used Toyotas in Milton Keynes, including RAV4, CHR, Aygo, Corolla, and Yaris.
