Classic cars are an asset that continuously grows in popularity with time. Whether you want to buy one for its cultural impact, uniqueness, driving capability, or modern design, there are plenty of emerging classics.

To make your selection easier, Motorway talked to three dealers in their network to find the top future classics.William Kikham, Director at Targa Florio Cars, John Graeme, Redline Specialist Cars, and the crew at Cornerhouse Garage offered their predictions for vehicles that have the potential to rise in value in the next ten years or so.

2004 Rover 75 V8

You might find the Rover 75 an odd entry on this list of Future Classics, but the vehicle has been growing in acceptance in recent times. The 2004 Rover 75 features a 4.6-litre V8 engine mated to rear wheels and an automatic gearbox to deliver an unprecedented performance complementing the British brand.

2014 Jaguar XK R-S GT

The hardcore XK R-S GT is a road-going version of the Jaguar XK coupe that came with multiple aerodynamic and suspension changes to make it street-legal. Those looking to have a classic with race-inspired performance should consider the XK R-S GT.

2014 Abarth 695 Biposto

It has the distinction of featuring an optional 'dog-ring gearbox’ and the permission to hit the local roads. The 695 Biposto delivers the staunchest performance any Abarth is capable of through its 1.4 litre turbo engine. Tipping the scale under a tonne at 997kg, it can go from 0-62 mph in a notable 5.9 seconds.

2017 Fiat 124 Spider

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider came to pay respect to the genuine open-top 124 Spider introduced 5 decades ago. Featuring the same classic design and usual Italian performance, the automaker added all the latest tech goodies to make it stand apart. 

Lotus Exige S1, 2000

The final prediction from Kikham is the exceptionally createdLotus Exige S1. The lightweight sports car came at the start of this century boasting a rear-mounted 1.8-litre engine producing 177 bhp. Weighing only 780kg, it can shoot to 62 mph in only 4.7 seconds.

John Graeme, Redline Specialist Cars, Prediction:

Edition 1 Mercedes, 2016
