Car of the Month: Mercedes C-Class
If you're looking for your next car, have you considered the Mercedes C-Class? Sleek and stylish, this vehicle has a long history, undergoing numerous changes to keep up with the ever-evolving standards of the car industry. To find out more about our Car of the Month, carry on reading.
A brief history of the Mercedes C-Class
In 1986, production began on a new model of Mercedes vehicle, deemed by many as the follow-up to the popular 190 sedans. The brand experienced a huge rise in notoriety during the '80s thanks to the 190, with customers eagerly awaiting the next vehicle to launch.
Finally, after four years of rigorous prototype testing and some minor delays, the final design of the C-Class was signed off by Murat Gunak – Mercedes' head designer – in 1989. Released in 1993, the C-Class was so successful that it was deemed by many reviewers to be the optimal replacement for the 190.

Is the C-Class right for you?
Mercedes Benz is known for creating luxurious cars that are enjoyable to drive, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the C-Class ticks both of these boxes. It also offers a comfortable seating position too, so if you spend a lot of time on the road, it won't disappoint.
While the C-Class is a good family car, the newer model isn't roomy in the back, so it may not be ideal if you've got three growing children. That said, it has a plush interior and a good range of engines, so there are still plenty of positives.
